On the day of the Baptism of the Lord the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov were present during the Great Blessing of Water in the Dnipro River near the Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Kyiv.
