The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak hopes that parliamentary elections that were held in Ukraine and the USA last year will give additional possibilities for intensification of cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada and the US Congress.

“We attach great importance to Ukrainian-American parliamentary cooperation for further strengthening of relations of strategic partnership between our countries,” said Volodymyr Rybak during his meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Ukraine John Tefft on Friday.

Volodymyr Rybak informed that it is planned to establish a deputy group for inter-parliamentary connections with the United States of America in February. He hopes that it will be one of the most numerous ones. At present, almost 60 deputies declared their wish to be included into the group, said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada.
