It was said during the discussion that the proposals of the President of Ukraine to the Law (Reg. No. 0989) claim that the document coming into force can lead to violation of rights and liberties of citizens in regard to which the auxiliary reproduction technologies are applied. Therefore, the Head of the State suggests rejecting it.

Members of the Committee stressed irrelevance of rejection of the document adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on October 16, 2012.

Members of the Committee said that legislative basis for use of auxiliary reproductive technologies that consists of article 48 of the Foundations of Legislation of Ukraine on Public Health, article 123 of the Family Code and two passages in the Civil Code has many gaps that leads to possibility of multiple abuses including child trafficking, etc.
