On Thursday, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak congratulated the personnel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat on the New Year and Christmas.
Addressing everyone present, V. Rybak stressed the importance of professional assistance to people’s deputies in performance of their pre-election promises. “Together we will do everything for the people’s deputies to work well, as this is what people expect from them,” he said and added that the Secretariat consists of highly qualified specialists.
Summing up this year, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada called it “a very complicated one.” Nevertheless, he stressed Ukraine’s achievements, in particular, EURO-2012 held at a very high level.
V. Rybak stressed that the Parliament should create legislative basis for economic and social reforms proclaimed by the President of Ukraine. “We need to stop the pre-election rhetoric,’ he said. “The main place for discussion should be the parliamentary committees formed on the professional basis.”
All branches of power, said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, will be working on improvement of life standards and will bear responsibility before the Ukrainian people. “We all are the citizens of a big European country – Ukraine - and I believe that everything will be good,’ he said.
V. Rybak congratulated the staff of the Secretariat on the holidays and wished them good health, fireside comfort and agreement.
