The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak hopes that the Parliament of the seventh convocation will go down in history as the highest legislative body that fulfills its obligations before the Ukrainian people.



The Verkhovna Rada, V.Rybak said during the briefing on Tuesday, has finished consideration of all organizational issues having formed 29 committees and the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel on Privatization required for normal legislative work. He expressed hopes that starting from January 10, 2013 the previously elaborated bills shall be considered in the session hall.  



According to him, the draft laws from the subjects of legislative initiative, particularly, the President of Ukraine and the Government, already enter the Verkhovna Rada.



V.Rybak said that the newly established committees shall settle the order of their work and “the Verkhovna Rada will be able to work effectively”.  



The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada noted also that a perspective plan of legislative work for the whole cadency of the Verkhovna Rada shall be developed and adopted in the Parliament. Thereat, all the legislative acts shall be analyzed with a view to importance for socio-economic development of the state, as well as improvement of citizens’ welfare “in order to accomplish tasks, the President poses before the Government”.  



V.Rybak noted that the programs of the parties that won elections are now carefully analyzed in the Parliament. He noted that the pre-election rhetoric should be left in the past and all the people’s deputies shall remember their duty – to fulfill promises, given to the voters.



 “My task as the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is to analyze all the programs and report on how they are executed,” V.Rybak said. “I believe that the Parliament of the seventh convocation will work,” he added. According to him, “factions started listening to each other, and I believe that the Parliament of the seventh convocation will go down in history as the highest legislative body that fulfills its obligations before the Ukrainian people”.



The Chairman of the Verkhovna of Ukraine greeted journalists with the New Year and Christmas wishing them health, welfare and happiness.
