The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution “On the list and quantitative composition of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation”

Under article 89 of the Constitution of Ukraine and article 5 of the LawOn Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukrainethe following committees were established within the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation:

 

The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations

 

The Organized Crime Control and Anti-Corruption Committee

 

The Committee on Construction, Urban Development, Housing and Communal Services and Regional Policy

 

 The Committee on Budget

 

 The Committee on State Building and Principles of Local Self-Government

 

 The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation

 

 The Committee on Economic Policy

 

 The Committee on European Integration

 

 The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement

 

 The Committee on Foreign Affairs

 

 The Committee on Culture and Spirituality

 

 The Committee on Science and Education

 

 The Committee on National Security and Defense

 

The Committee on Public Health

 

 The Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety

 

 The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities

 

 The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations

 

 The Committee on Judicial Policy

 

 The Committee on Rule of Law and Justice

 

 The Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship

Under article 10 of the Law “On Privatization of State Property” the Ad Hoc Supervisory Panel on Privatization was established.

 

Following part two of article 5 of the Law “On the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”, it was determined that each of the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada should include at the moment of its establishment minimum 9 and maximum 30 people’s deputies, and on condition that at least one people’s deputy from each deputy faction is represented.

 

Under the resolution, when the number of committee members is 10 or less, one deputy head of the committee is elected; when the committee consists of 11 to 20 members, first deputy head and deputy head of the committee are elected; when the number of committee members exceeds 20, first deputy head and two deputy heads of the committee are elected.
