The work of the Preparatory Deputy Group could be viewed as a certain prototype of the work of the new convocation of the Parliament.
Such an idea was expressed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Chair of the Preparatory Deputy Group Volodymyr Lytvyn answering questions of the Rada TV Channel on Monday.
According to V.Lytvyn, “this has both positive and negative sides”. He deems positive the intransigent attitudes of political opponents that will induce people’s deputies introduce legislative acts that would meet the interests of people, and not that of representatives of political forces in the Parliament. The Chairman of the Parliament anticipates that the number of lobbyist bills, as well as laws-“butterflies” will decrease and the quality of governmental legislative initiatives would increase.
“People will closely follow and evaluate the stand of this or that deputy or faction,” the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said.
