The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn visited Interfax-Ukraine News Agency on the occasion of 20th anniversary of agency’s work on Saturday.
V.Lytvyn awarded the staff of the agency with the Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine “For Services to the Ukrainian People” and got acquainted with editorial work.
During the meeting, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has analyzed the results of parliamentary elections in Ukraine and outlined his ideas regarding the work of the new composition of the Parliament. “The new Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be complicated, but it will also be the center of political life,” he said.
V.Lytvyn has also analyzed current state of the Ukrainian-Russian relations and processes occurring within the CIS, including world globalization processes. The Chairman of the Parliament stressed the importance of using all the potential of bi- and multilateral relations, noting that Ukraine is to preserve its traditional markets and good-neighbourly relations.
