The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement analyzed the performance of Round Table Recommendations concerning cooperation with religious organizations

Peoples deputies discussed performance of Recommendations of the following round table discussions: “Participation of religious organizations in formation of legislative initiatives in regard to penitentiary policy”, “Forms and methods of collaboration between the clergy and law enforcement bodies and “To discuss the bill to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine (re securing constitutional rights of arrested persons to medical aid and confession of faith), held by the Committee on May 29 and June 8 , 2012 and October 24, 2011.

 

Members of the Committee drew attention to unsolved proposals concerning permits for temporary residence in Ukraine that are issued by State Migration Service Bodies following the procedure approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

 

The Committee addressed the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a proposal to prepare and submit for consideration of the government a draft of amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution of 28.03.2012 No. 251 aimed at prolonging the term of temporary residence permit in accordance with the term indicated in the invitation but not more than three years.

 

Members of the Committee deem it necessary to prepare the bill to amend part six of article 5 of the LawOn Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Personsto determine its connection with part six of article 4 of this law.

 

Peoples deputies believe that such projects should be processed together with other interested central bodies of executive power and with participation of representatives of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and religious organizations.
