The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn sent his condolences to the family of Volodymyr Shevchenko, the Director of the National Circus of Ukraine in connection with his death.
“With deep sorrow did I receive the news concerning untimely death of Volodymyr Dmytrovych Shevchenko.
Death has ruthlessly taken away a man of marked individuality, noble and sensitive person, and a unique Artist. Ukrainian circus has suffered a grievous loss. As a legendary trainer, the director and organizer of circus, the patriot and citizen he consolidated humanistic values, the ideals of kindness, truth and justice.
We bow low in deep respect and grief before the eternal memory of unforgettable Volodymyr Dmytrovych.
His bright image will remain in our hearts forever.
