The Committee on Judicial Policy declared the bill to recall people’s deputy of Ukraine as corresponding to the Constitution of Ukraine

The bill (Reg. No. 11084) suggests determining the procedure and grounds for recalling people’s deputy of Ukraine, as well as responsibility for failure to comply with the requirements of the law.  

 

 

It was mentioned that the bill aims at increasing the influence of voters over the activity of the peoples’ deputy of Ukraine, strengthening their political and legal responsibility, improving legal regulation of the status of people’s deputies, and increasing the effectiveness of Verkhovna Rada operation through the possibility of divestment of deputies, who systematically and without any valid excuse do not fulfill their duties, from their authority.

 

According to the Constitution of Ukraine (part two of article 8), laws are adopted on its basis and are to correspond to it. People’s deputies believe that the bill submitted corresponds to the abovementioned Constitutional and legal basis.
