The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation recommends that the Parliament should recommit the bill to amend the Law “On National Target Program “Drinking water of Ukraine” for 2011 – 2020 regarding expansion of program objectives

The bill (Reg. No. 11196) suggests supplementing the list of main objectives of the program with new one concerning the construction and reconstruction of water supply systems using advanced technologies and equipment.

 

It was said that implementation of advanced technologies and equipment in the sphere of water supply is topical, however it requires additional financing. Nevertheless, the explanatory note read that implementation of the provisions of the bill does not require any additional expenses from the State Budget. Thus, the Committee members concluded that the bill needs to be refined.
