The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “To amend several legislative acts of Ukraine (re optimization of powers of executive authorities in the sphere of environmental policy and use of natural resources, including those on the local level)”

The law harmonizes a number of legislative acts of Ukraine in the spheres of environmental protection; rational use, reproduction, and protection of natural resources (mineral resources, water, atmosphere, forests, flora, and fauna); organization, protection, and use of nature-reserve fund; treatment of waste, pesticides, and agrochemicals; formation, preservation, and use of the environmental network with the Constitution of Ukraine in part of redistribution of powers between the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with the administrative reform.
