The Committee on European Integration recognized a number of bills as non-contradictory to the legislation of the European Union, Ukraine’s obligations within the Council of Europe, and other international obligations of Ukraine

The Committee recognized the bill to amend the Law “On Milk and Dairy Products” and other legislative acts regarding reinforcing measures to fight dairy products adulteration (Reg. No. 11177) as non-contradictory to the legislation of the European Union.

The Committee determined that by the subject of legal regulation the bill belongs to healthcare and life protection sphere, legal relations in which are governed by: the Directive of the European Parliament and Council 2001/95/EC on general product safety; the Regulation 854/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004 laying down specific rules for the organization of official controls on products of animal origin intended for human consumption.

Members of the Committee concluded that the bill does not contradict the legislation of the European Union.

The Committee recognized also the bill to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding regulation of relations in the sphere of road safety (Reg. No. 10371) as non-contradictory to the legislation of the European Union, Ukraine’s obligations within the Council of Europe, and other international legal obligations of Ukraine .

The Committee determined that, considering the rules stipulated by the bill, they fall within the scope of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of 1950.

Members of the Committee concluded that the bill does not contradict the legislation of the European Union, Ukraine’s obligations within the Council of Europe, and other international legal obligations of Ukraine.
