The Agreement provides for equal relations in the process of information exchange, and obliges the Parties to take the necessary measures in regard to protection of secret defense information obtained in the course of cooperation.

On the part of Ukraine, the subjects of Agreement performance include state bodies, companies, institutions, and organizations conducting activity connected with the state secret and possessing a permit for transfer of secret information to a foreign partner.

The procedure of information exchange determined by the Agreement entitles the competent bodies from Ukraine and Greece to ensure proper state control of observance of Parties’ legislation while exchanging secret defense information by the subjects of cooperation.

Members of the Committee believe that ratification of the Agreement would allow for creation of contractual basis for bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Hellenic Republic on mutual protection of secret information in defense sphere.

The respective bill was registered under No. 0272.
