The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “To amend the Law "On the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine" regarding national preventive mechanism

The law assigns the function of the national preventive mechanism under the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment to the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada.
The respective bill was registered under No. 11073.
