The Committee on Economic Policy recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt in the second reading and in entirety the draft law to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding performance of production sharing agreements

The bill (Reg. No. 11213) is aimed at improvement of legislation regarding production sharing agreements and adjacent spheres to provide for favorable investment climate for investor?s activity under production sharing agreements. Implementation of the norms of the bill will increase the efficiency of attracting private investments in extractive sector in Ukraine.

 

The Committee members believe that implementation of provisions of the bill will allow for increasing investments in mining operations, since realization of amendments will refine legislative basis in the sphere of sharing agreements and adjacent spheres and, first of all, create conditions for effective implementation of such agreements.
