To the Librarians of Ukraine
Accept my most sincere greetings on the occasion of All-Ukrainian Library Day, the celebration of which has become a good tradition in our state.
Modern library is a universal source of knowledge that provides wide readership with an access to educational, scientific, managerial and industrial spheres of activity, using both traditional and modern informational technologies.
Today, Ukrainian libraries provide citizens with general access to information and cultural values, do great and diverse work aimed at forming new community of people.
I am convinced that librarianship will develop and improve corresponding to time challenges, decently fulfilling their important, responsible and noble social mission – preserving culture and promoting spiritual development of Ukrainian people.
I wish you all peace, success and new achievements to the benefit of our people and in the name of Ukraine.
