The bill (Reg. No. 9369), submitted by people’s deputy V. Shemchuk, brings articles 10-1 and 11 of the Law “On Public Prosecution” into conformance with the Constitution of Ukraine and current legislation.

In particular, it is proposed to exclude from the text of part one of article 10-1 of the law the provision that pertains to the right of the prosecutor of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to challenge legal acts of the government and other bodies of executive power of the autonomy that contradict to the laws of the ARC adopted within its competence.

The author motivated the necessity of amendment by the fact that the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC has the right to pass regulatory acts, but does not have the authority to adopt laws.
