The Committee on Economic Policy recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill "To amend several legislative acts of Ukraine in regard to concluding and performing production sharing agreements"

The bill (Reg. No. 11119) amends the Natural Resources Code of Ukraine, the Land and Customs Codes of Ukraine, the laws "On Production Sharing Agreements", "On Oil and Gas", "On Principles of Functioning of the Natural Gas Market", "On the Procedure of Foreign Currency Settlements" and some other that are aimed at providing favorable conditions to attract investments into extraction of commercial minerals on conditions of production sharing agreements.

 

The Committee stressed that implementation of provisions of the bill would provide for considerable increase of interest of the private sector in investing into extraction of commercial minerals, as introduction of the proposed changes will allow for significant improvement of legislative basis in regard to production sharing agreements and related spheres.
