The Committee on Transport and Communications recommends that the Verkhovna Rada should adopt as a basis the bill "To amend several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding communications regulation" with consideration of proposals by the President of Ukraine

On reporting the Law (Reg.No.9747) adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on July 5, 2012, the Committee Chair Mykhailo Myronenko informed that the President of Ukraine recommitted it with several remarks.

 

The legislative act stipulates supplementing Law "On Licensing System in the Sphere of Business Activity" with a new provision, according to which, issuing permits in the sphere of telecommunication and radio frequency resources of Ukraine is regulated by the Law "On Licensing System in the Sphere of Business Activity" taking into account the peculiarities defined by the laws "On Telecommunication" and "On Radio Frequency Resource of Ukraine".  

 

The President of Ukraine believes that the Law "On Radio Frequency Resource of Ukraine" should be excluded from the abovementioned provision and suggests the following version of paragraph two, clause four, section I:

 

"Issuing permits in the sphere of telecommunication and radio frequency resources of Ukraine is regulated according to this Law, taking into account the peculiarities defined by the Law of Ukraine "On Telecommunication".

 

The Committee members suggest taking into account President?s suggestion.
