The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation recommends that the Parliament should recommit the bill to amend and supplement several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding handling dogs of potentially dangerous breeds

 The bill (Reg.No.11006) suggests amending the Law "On Protection of Animals from Cruelty" and article 1187 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.

 

The Committee members stressed that the bill establishes neither the order of registration or electronic identification of dogs of potentially dangerous breeds, nor the body responsible for such registration.

 

Parliamentarians consider it relevant to establish separate responsibility for the owners of dogs of potentially dangerous breeds by amending the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements and the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
