The decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine should be executed.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn said this answering the journalists’ questions concerning the decision of the Constitutional Court, which recognized possible limitation of deputy immunity as correspondent to the Fundamental Law.
“The decision of the Constitutional Court should be executed. It was predictable. The matter depends now on the Verkhovna Rada,” he said.
V. Lytvyn reminded that during the last session of its cadence the Verkhovna Rada cannot take decisions to amend the Constitution.
The Leader of the Parliament predicted that “there will be much talking in this regard, that is, there will be a process but there won’t be any destination point.”
“However, I am convinced that the fact of public proclamation of the necessity to adopt such decision will lead to quantity turning into quality, that is, to adoption of the decision,” he added.
