The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn stresses that all parties to the election process should observe election law strictly.

Answering the journalists’ questions on Friday, V. Lytvyn stressed the “importance to discard ideology of hatred and stop searching for reasons for confrontation.”

The Head of the Parliament noted also that all candidates need to campaign for themselves, “and not campaign against someone, not to drag others through the mud, for the people to have a chance to find their way around.”

According to him, when it comes to the necessity to observe the law on election of people’s deputies, “this appeal should be addressed both to the representatives of the authorities and to those who consider themselves to be the opposition,” claimed V. Lytvyn.
