The Verkhovna Rada considered 26 bills submitted by the Committee. The Law "To Amend Several Legislative Acts of Ukraine regarding Association of Co-Owners of Multi-Storey Building" (Reg.No.8474, submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine) was adopted in entirety. The President sent suggestion to the Law to reject it. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine upheld the suggestion of the President.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the following laws in entirety: "To Amend Several Laws of Ukraine regarding Regulation of Investment Operations in the Sphere of Public Utility Services"; "On a National Target Program to Transfer Ownership of Residences of Local Communities for 2012-2015", etc.
On April 25, 2012, the Committee held hearings "On the Status of Implementing the Laws of Ukraine regarding Ensuring the Realization of Housing Rights for Dormitory Residents".
The Committee held a round table discussion regarding preparation of the bill on the principles of state regional policy for the first reading on May 22, 2012.
During the tenth session the committee members and secretarial staff scrutinized 1462 letters and appeals from the citizens.
The Committee secretariat informed that 28 bills are under preparation to be considered during the eleventh session.
The Committee prepares the following bills to be considered during the eleventh session: regarding the moratorium on price increases and utility services rates to the public; to amend the Housing Code of Ukrainian SSR (to provide temporary housing for persons released from penitentiaries); to amend several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding state regulation of utility services, etc.
The Committee prepares suggestions to 35 bills that are under the competence of other committees.
