The Committee on Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship recommends that the Parliament should adopt in the second reading and as a basis the bill to carry out an economical experiment regarding state support of shipbuilding industry

The bill (reg.No.10360) aims at effective usage of industrial, scientific and export potential, restoration of competitiveness of domestic shipbuilding, increasing output of high-tech ships and warships, creating favorable conditions for attracting investments, cutting down the cost of shipbuilding and maintaining economic interests of state by increasing output of these enterprises.

The bill suggests recognizing shipbuilding industry as a priority one in the economy of Ukraine. It is also suggested to carry out an economical experiment to establish necessary conditions for shipbuilding enterprises of Ukraine to increase in volume of production outputs and budget revenues from January 1, 2013 to January 1, 2023.

According to the bill, key areas of support for shipbuilding industry for the period of the economic experiment are: restore competitiveness of Ukraine's shipbuilding production on foreign markets, carry out fundamental and applied researches, strengthen defense capability of the state, and raise the image of Ukraine on the international market, etc.

Main directions of state support for the shipbuilding industry are realized by:

create conditions to restore competitiveness of shipbuilding enterprises;

stimulate the increase of salary in the shipbuilding industry;

increase the number of government orders, etc.
