Ratification of the Agreement will allow for providing efficient and timely mutual assistance, exchanging information to prevent emergency situations and in case of any - efficient and effective solution of the problem regarding liquidation of their consequences.
The Agreement determines forms of cooperation (organization and implementation of environment monitoring, prediction of emergency situations and assessment of their consequences, risk assessment regarding environmental and human health due to possible pollution resulting from emergency situations), types of assistance (assistance connected with rescuing, environmental protection, medical service for the injured party, etc.), the procedure of exchanging information in order to conduct search and rescue operations, as well as the terms of reimbursement which may arise in the process of assisting the parties of the Agreement, etc.
