The Committee on Justice recommends that the Parliament should adopt in the second reading and in entirety the bill to amend the Law "On execution of decisions and application of the practice of the European Court of Human Rights"

The bill (Reg. No. 9458) supplements the applicable law with a new clause, whereby the Verkhovna Rada exerts parliamentary control over the execution of decisions and application of the European Court of Human Rights practice within the scope stipulated by the Constitution of Ukraine. The Representation body (body responsible for the ensuring of Ukraine?s representation in the European Court of Human Rights and fulfillment of its decisions) shall inform the Verkhovna Rada about execution of decisions and application of the

European Court of Human Rights practice, and submit a summary on the execution of decisions and application of the European Court of Human Rights practice annually by March 1. This summary shall also include the proposals concerning implementation of general measures.

The bill also specifies clause 14 of the law  "On execution of decisions and application of the European Court of Human Rights practice" which regulates the actions of the Representation body in relation to the implementation of general measures while executing the Court decision.

A number of proposals were received from the subjects of legislative initiative while preparing the bill to the second reading. The Committee considered the proposals and included a part of them into the bill.
