The Committee on Finance and Banking, Taxation and Customs Policy recommends that the Parliament should adopt the Law "To Amend Several Laws of Ukraine regarding mandatory civil and legal liability insurance for motor vehicles owners" with consideration of proposals of the President of Ukraine

The primary goal of the bill (Reg. No. 9462) is to strengthen legislation in the sphere of mandatory civil and legal liability insurance for motor vehicles owners, to protect the rights of the injured, and to enhance the system of compensation for damages inflicted to the injured in the road accidents.

Supporting the necessity to improve the legislation on insurance of civil and legal liability of motor vehicles owners, the President of Ukraine provided his proposals to the bill.

It was also noted at the meeting that the conclusions of the Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada Secretariat recommend taking into account the President?s proposals.
