The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Chornobyl Aftermath Mitigation recommends that the Parliament should adopt the bill on measures to preserve regional landscape park "Bakalska Kosa" in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea

The bill (Reg. No. 10604) is aimed at preserving the unique natural and reserve site of the "Bakalska Kosa" park in the Aurtonomous Republic of Crimea.

Under the bill, the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea shall develop the program for preservation of the site. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine shall take measures to suspend special permits to use mineral resources regarding sand extraction in "Bakalska Banka" deposit.

The respective law enforcement agencies are recommended to reinforce control after observance of laws in the sphere of environment protection within the regional landscape park "Bakalska Kosa", including the adjacent water area of the sea.
