The bill (Reg.No.10545) suggests determining at legislative level that the status of mountainous settlements is given to the settlements if they are located at the height of 380 meters above the sea level.
Upholding the aim of the bill and the necessity to make certain amendments, the Committee believes that during the revision of the bill for the second reading the attention should be paid to the fact that apart from acquiring the status of a mountainous settlement, permanent residents of such settlements will receive certain social benefits which are not indicated in the bill.
