The Committee on Family Matters, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism studied the observance of legislation on formation and implementation of state policy on matters of families, children and youth, physical culture and sports by the respective structures

Particularly, the activity of the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport were considered.

 

Members of the committee drew attention of the Cabinet of Ministers to the fact that the measures of policy in regard to abovementioned issues "do not fully correspond to the requirements of legislation and general needs of families, children and youth."

 

By results of discussion, the Committee recommended that the Government should elaborate by October 1, 2012:

 

state target program of health improvement and recreation for children;

 

state programs of development of state enterprises "International Children?s Center ‘Artek?" and "Ukrainian Children?s Center ‘Moloda Hvardiya?" for the period by 2015;

 

state program for providing youth with housing;

 

state target social program of supporting families by 2016;

 

amendments to the State Target Program "Ukrainian Youth" for 2009-1015 to bring it into conformance with requirements of current legislation.
