The Committee on Matters of Pensioners, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis and in entirety the bill to amend the Law "On Mandatory State Retirement Insurance" to determine salaries to calculate pensions

The bill (Reg.No.10386) suggests:

 

amending article 25 of the Law "On Mandatory State Retirement Insurance";

 

clarifying the provision of article 40 of the Law "On Mandatory State Retirement Insurance" regarding the provision of a pensioner with the possibility not to take into account periods of receiving unemployment benefits that are included into the working experience according to the part one of article 24 of the abovementioned Law while determining salary to calculate pension.

 

The Committee members believe that the suggested initiatives will provide for further improvement of the legislation that governs the sphere of retirement insurance.

 

The attention was paid to the fact that Central Scientific Experts Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat considers that settling of the abovementioned issues will allow for the improvement of the provisions of the Law "On Mandatory State Retirement Insurance" regarding the order of determination of  salaries to calculate pensions. By results of consideration of the bill in the first reading it might be adopted as a basis.
