The Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill on the development of cooperation in the agricultural sphere of Ukraine

The bill (Reg.No.10257) suggests determining that state supports the cooperation of owners of agricultural land as well as agricultural producers.

 

The authors of the bill believe that state support regarding the development of cooperation in the agricultural sphere should be provided through:

 

conduction of informational and explanatory work to show the advantages of cooperation in the sphere of production, processing and marketing of agricultural products and other related fields;

 

provision of free legal and other counseling assistance regarding the creation and organization of cooperative activity in agriculture;

 

simplifying the order of state registration of cooperatives in agricultural sphere;

 

free state registration of cooperatives created in rural areas, etc.

 

It was mentioned that due to the privatization of agricultural land and as a result of land reform and its sharing agricultural land fund is extremely divided which prevents villagers, owners of small land plots, from conducting highly efficient commercial farming using powerful agricultural equipment and advanced agricultural technology.
