To Partisans and Members of Underground Organizations
in the period of the Great Patriotic War
Please accept my sincere greetings on the occasion of the national holiday - the Day of Partisan Glory.
With deep respect and immense gratitude I would like to address you this day. It is one more remarkable occasion to commemorate those who made an inestimable contribution to the victory over fascism in the years of the Great Patriotic War.
Today´s holiday coincides with the 70th anniversary of the mass impact resistance movement against fascist invaders. Thousands of people of different civil professions appealed to arms, stood up to fight cruel and ruthless enemy, not due to some orders but following their hearts. It is the fact of life and no one can change or disguise the truth.
This fight sustained immense losses. Our victory was earned with your valour, heroism and sacrifice.
Former people´s avengers are living this world since the time has no mercy even in peace-times. However, our memory is not getting covered with dust in record offices but lives in our hearts. Let it always be eternalized with the Day of Partisan Glory.
