Under the bill (Reg. No. 9016), the pack of foodstuffs, non-foods, and services shall be formed annually by the Verkhovna Rada at the suggestion of the Cabinet of Ministers as a separate law before the scrutiny of the law on the State Budget of Ukraine. Minimum subsistence level shall be calculated with allowance for the consumer price index fixed in major prediction macroindices of economic and social development of Ukraine.
The committee members believe that adoption of the bill will raise social standards, especially for the persons below the poverty line.
