The bill (Reg. No. 0196) lays legal foundation for the regulation of property right of Ukraine for the part of the spillway dike of Dniester buffer hydroelectric installation, and the property right of the Republic of Moldova for Pervomaisk granite-chip open pit mine (Mykolaiv region, Pervomaisk district, Konetspole village) and Chernivtsi granite-sand open pit mine (Chernivtsi region, Kitsman district, Nepolokivtsi viallge). The said objects belonged to the competence of the union republic ministries of the USSR as of December 1, 1990.
The participants of the meeting stated that relations with Moldova are essential for the foreign political interests of Ukraine, considering the facts that there is a common border, a large ethnic community of Ukrainians in the Republic of Moldova, proximity of foreign political priorities, and a great potential for mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
The committee repeatedly scrutinized the bill "On Ratification of the Protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on Amendments to the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on Mutual Recognition of Rights and Regulation of Property Relations of August 11, 1994" (Reg. No. 0196), and unanimously agreed to recommend the Verkhovna Rada to ratify it.
