V.Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls against adding Political Flavor to the Reorganization of "Naftohaz"

In the interview to Rada television channel on Friday, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that if the Government submits the documents on reorganization of "Naftohaz", the Verkhovna Rada shall scrutinize them and adopt a considered and sensible decision.

 

V. Lytvyn stated, "This issue is not new." He reminded that the situation had been discussed long ago in view of the resolution on cooperation with the EU. "The European Union, Ukraine and Russia expressed their interest in this matter", he stated. "One should not add political flavor to this question. It is a mere economic matter", the Head of the Parliament declared. "All subjects of energy relations should mind their own business: one institution should explore gas, and another transport it."
