Volodymyr Lytvyn: On September 22, the Parliament will scrutinize the Draft Program of Social-Economic Development for 2012
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced that the parliament will scrutinize the Draft Program of Social-Economic Development for 2012 and Principal Directions of Development for 2013-2014 on September 22.
He informed that the parliament had already received proposals of the Cabinet of Ministers on amendments to the Budget Code and the Draft Program of Social-Economic Development for 2012 and Principal Directions of Development for 2013-2014.
According to V. Lytvyn, on Thursday, the People´s Deputies will listen to the report on execution of the State Budget in 2010 and 2011. Afterwards, they will scrutinize the Program of Social-Economic Development for 2012.
After the Draft Budget for 2012 is presented, respective parliamentary committees will adjust it for the scrutiny in the first reading.
The Head of the Parliament hopes that the Draft Budget for 2012 will be scrutinized within the period fixed by the Budget Code and the Standing Orders of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, being adopted in entirety on December 1.
According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, "the budget for 2012 is better, as it provides extra financial support to almost all important spheres, although money is always not enough."
