Mykola Tomenko: Before presenting the Budget for 2012, the Government should report on the Implementation of National Programs and Election of the Head of the Accounting Chamber

Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is convinced that before presenting the budget for 2012, the Government should report on the implementation of national programs and election of the Head of the Accounting Chamber. The Deputy Chairman made this statement today, commenting on the expectable re-election of the Chairman of Court of Auditors. "Before presenting the budget for 2012, the Government should report on the implementation of national programs and election of the Head of the Accounting Chamber, as required by the Law "On the Cabinet of Ministers"," M. Tomenko declared.

 

M. Tomenko emphasized that the same concerns the report of the Court of Auditors. "The previous year cannot be analyzed without a report of the Court of Auditors and without a Chairman of the Court of Auditors," the politician believes. M. Tomenko added that the issue concerning a new head of the Court shall be scrutinized immediately.

 

The Deputy Chairman stressed that this office should be occupied by the opposition representative to elucidate the real work of the authorities. He reminded that BYuT-Batkivshchyna and Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defense factions nominated Petro Poroshenko to this office. Still, according to the Deputy Chairman, the majority and the opposition have not negotiated effectively, even though all factions agreed that the office should be occupied by a member of the opposition.
