The Committee on Foreign Affairs recommends the Parliament to ratify the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Investigation and Use of Outer Space for Peaceful Purposes

The primary purpose of the Agreement is to arrange a legal framework for cooperation between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the space sphere which constitutes mutual interest for both Parties.

 

The Agreement regulates subject components of legal relations, directions and forms of cooperation, distribution of rights for intellectual property objects, exchange of data, funding and responsibility, dispute resolution, customs privileges, etc.

 

The committee members emphasized that under the Agreement and according to the domestic law of both states, and general norms and principles of international law, the Parties will develop bilateral cooperation in the sphere of investigation and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
