The European Integration Committee reviewed Several Bills as to their Compliance with the European Union Laws and International Legal Commitments of Ukraine

The committee scrutinized the bill on amendments to several legislative acts of Ukraine regarding provision of social guarantees for the workers of mining, mine-constructive enterprises, state militarized emergency rescue services in coal industry (Reg. No.9184) which employs a single definition, "mine-constructive enterprise." The bill amends the Mining Code of Ukraine and is applicable to the workers of the state militarized emergency rescue services in coal industry.

 

The committee concluded that by the subject of legal regulation, the bill belongs to the sphere of energy and nuclear energy regulated by the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and the Commission Decision 3632/93/ECSC establishing community rules for state aid to the coal industry.

 

The committee members concluded that the bill conforms to the European law.

 

The committee ruled that the bill on amendments to the Civil and Economic Codes of Ukraine (regarding franchise agreements) (Reg. No.8515) complies with the European law and international legal commitments of Ukraine.

 

The committee stressed that the bill complies with the Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (2007); Commission Regulation (EU) No 330/2010 of 20 April 2010 on the application of Article 101(3) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to categories of vertical agreements and concerted practices.
