Starting from 2000, the Laws on the State Budget for a respective year terminated provisions of legislative acts of Ukraine in part of privileges and compensations funded from the budgets of all levels. The laws also envisaged that privileges to certain categories of population should be covered at the rates and in the order fixed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the limits set in the calculations of the State Budget of Ukraine and local budgets for the respective year.
The provisions of the following laws were terminated: Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2000"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2001"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2002"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2003"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2004"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2005"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2006"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2007"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2009"; Law of Ukraine "On Status of War Veterans and Guarantees of their Social Security"; Law of Ukraine "On Victims of Nazi Crimes"; Law of Ukraine "On Social Security of Children of War"; Law of Ukraine "On State Assistance to the Families with Children"; Law of Ukraine "On State Service"; Law of Ukraine "On Living Wage"; Law of Ukraine "On Assistance to Young People with Higher Education with Employment through Governmental Grants to the Employer"; Law of Ukraine "On Pensions Provision to the Military Officers"; Law of Ukraine "On Scientific and Research-Technical Activity"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2009"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2010"; Law of Ukraine "On State Budget for 2011."

At Monday´s briefing, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn called for solving the issues connected with fulfillment of social obligations of the state.
