New Project of Mykola Tomenko's Fund "Ridna Kraina" and "Era FM" Radio: "Ukrainian Independence Coevals talk about Ukraine"
On Tuesday, Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced that a new educational project of his Fund "Ridna Kraina" - "Ukrainian Independence Coevals talk about Ukraine" - will start on the eve of the Independence Day.
According to M. Tomenko, the goal of the project is to remind about the most important works of the Ukrainian poets about our state, and to encourage young people born in 1991 the year of Ukraine´s independence to read. He informed that in August the audience of "Era FM" Radio will listen to the works of the prominent Ukrainian writers read by twenty-year-old students from different regions of Ukraine. Thus, the audience will listen to the poems by Taras Shevchenko, Lesia Ukrainka, Vasyl Symonenko, Volodymyr Sosiura, Pavlo Tychyna, Ivan Franko, Lina Kostenko, Oleksandr Oles, Mykola Vinhranovskyi, and others.
Initiator of the project M.Tomenko stated that the General Director of "Era-Media" company Ihor Lotashevskyi supported the project, as it is not the first one of such character. He reminded that on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko´s reburial in Ukraine, his Fund, together with "Era FM" Radio, implemented the project on Chernecha Mountain. During the project, famous Ukrainians read poet's works in the radio air.
The Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada is convinced that the new project of "Ridna Kraina" Fund and "Era FM" Radio - "Ukrainian Independence Coevals talk about Ukraine" will be successful and will make the authorities exert efforts to properly celebrate the 20th anniversary of independence.
