Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine initiates holding Plenary Meetings this Week until All Items on the Agenda are scrutinized
As Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, informed, at the Conciliative Council of the heads of deputy factions and parliamentary committees, he suggested that every morning the parliament should consider the proposal of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning holding of the afternoon session to scrutinize all items on the agenda of the respective plenary day.
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stated that the number of issues to be scrutinized had considerably grown in comparison with the agenda submitted before the Conciliative Council. "Everyone wants to scrutinize the urgent drafts, although they understand that the Verkhovna Rada shall complete its plenary work at 13.00 on Friday," he stated. "If all items are scrutinized, the plenary work of the parliament will be adjourned, otherwise, we might consider prolonging its work, which means changes in the schedule."
V.Lytvyn believes that it will guarantee a responsible and timely work devoid of political biases.
