"Extension of cooperation between Poland and
Ukraine will help realize our historical potential for the benefit of our nations
and entire Europe", Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine, declared during ХХ Festival of Ukrainian Culture in the Republic of
Poland (Koszalin city).
V. Lytvyn is convinced that parliaments should play a special role in this respect. "Parliaments shall make decisions to be implemented by the governments", the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament stated.
In the framework of the visit, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine met administration of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and Koszalin city.
V. Lytvyn also met the representatives of the Ukrainian community, having presented them with Diplomas of Honour and valuable gifts from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and Grzegorz Schetyna, Marshal of Sejm of the Republic of Poland, attended the official gala night.
