Mykola Tomenko: Rejection of the Pension Reform and other Anti-Popular Reforms is the Best Present for the President from the Opposition
Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, believes that rejection of the pension reform and other anti-popular reforms could be the best present for the President from the opposition. M.Tomenko made this statement, asked whether the opposition is going to celebrate the President´s birthday (V.Yanukovych was born on July 9, 1950) and what present they are preparing.
"Rejection of the pension reform and other anti-popular reforms could be the best present for the President," M.Tomenko responded. "I mean rejection of anti-popular pension reform and the bills which cut down the number of healthcare establishments and reduce the benefits."
The Deputy Chairman supposes that such a present will make V.Yanukovych more popular. "Otherwise, his rating will fall after the bills on raising the retirement age, increasing the labour record, and cutting down the number of healthcare establishments are adopted," M.Tomenko stated.
