The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine believes that budget 2012 "gives rise to a cautious optimism."

"Budget shall total approximately UAH 350 billion, which will give more opportunities to solve the pressing problems", V. Lytvyn stated in the interview to Rada television channel on Friday. He explained that Ukraine shall repay its obligations amounting to UAH 40 billion instead of UAH 90 billion in 2011. Moreover, the expenses for the preparation for Euro-2012 will be cut down.

According to the Head of the Parliament, budget-2012 "will be better than that of 2011", only if action "to avoid the consequences of the second wave of the global crisis" is taken. Thus, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems necessary to count on the real sector of economy and develop the domestic market.
