Mykola Tomenko: Ukrainian Year Book 2012 is prepared for Publication

Last year, a Ukrainian Year Book 2011 (Ukrainian Business Weekly) was published by the Fund of Mykola Tomenko "Ridna Kraina."

Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine M.Tomenko, initiator of the publication, explained that "the main idea of the project is that every day of the anniversary year should start not only with the mention of the state, national or religious holiday, but also with some information about the birthdays of prominent Ukrainians." He also emphasised that the author was responsible for the choice, however, it was based on the selection of people who were born in Ukraine, devoted their lives to Ukraine, were brought up in this country or helped their Motherland, even living beyond its borders.

Project initiator M.Tomenko considers it one of the best projects of the Fund "Ridna Kraina", as its five thousand editions were sold out.

The Fund of Mykola Tomenko "Ridna Kraina" together with the Veselka Publishing House is preparing the Ukrainian Year Book 2012. It will keep the general idea and structure, but will also include several novelties.

There will be new prominent personalities and information about them. The new issue of the business weekly will be dedicated mostly to the Ukrainian history, culture, and traditions. On the request of the readers, a new chapter "Ukrainian Folk Calendar" was added informing about customs, religious holidays, proverbs, etc.
