The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to Clause 15 of the Law "On Cinematography" regarding Issue of the State License on Films Sale and Demonstration

The effective Law is supplemented with new parts regarding the fact that State License on right to sell and show films are issued on a paid basis to the subjects of cinematography during 10 working days from he moment of a written application and other documents defined by the Cabinet of Ministers handing in. Term of the scrutiny of an appeal on state licenses issuing can be prolonged to 25 working days in case there are ambiguities regarding film index and film consideration by the expert commission on matters of film sale and showing.

 

The Law envisages the following grounds for denial in state license issuing on right to sell and show films: inconsistency between submitted documents and material to the requirements of item 6 Provisions on state license on right to sell and show films and this Law; presence of conclusion of expert commission on matters of film sale and showing regarding films that propagandize war, violence, cruelty, fascism and neofascism, religious strife, disrespect to national and religious shrines, abasement of human dignity, propagandizing disregard for parents, and also use of narcotics, solvent abuse, habitual drunkenness and other pernicious habits; pornographic motion picture films.
